I”m hosted tonight at Bear Skins in the Village of Big Bear, and signing/selling my The Boy Who Conquered Everest…C’mon by and say hi, and let’s talk mountain climbing!

Jordan’s found a cozy spot in the back of the NOW van as we head across the dark desert toward Utah. A few drops of rain here and there but nothing to think more about .  We’ll stop on the way tonight and complete the trip to the trailhead of Kings Peak in the a.m.

We’re hitting the road again! Leg #2 will be a haul up to Northern Utah, darn near up near Wyoming.  Kings Peak, reaches up to over 13,000.  It’s a 42 km round trip trek in, then a semi technical/often snowy climb. We’re inviting just a hand full of experienced trekkers to join us. As always,

A chance to be a kid for a day. A good ol fashion water park….now that is some good ol fashion careless fun. I did a mid day appearance for NOW Energy Bar which was pretty cool, THEN got to read and appear in the evening for about 100 kids…This has been SUCH a cool

Maine, VT, and then the biggie…Mt Washington, a site with the highest recorded wind speed on earth. It did not disappoint. It was an honor to have Ian, Bond, Terry, Melissa and Jaime joining the team for the epic trek into the weather…again. This trip has been all about wicked weather, but we love it
