Bear Valley Unified School District- Here we go- ABSTAIN from Junk Food and Sodas (of all kinds).
Teachers-I challenge you to HOLD off bringing Sugar Rewards to your students. How about try some fresh fruit? I will keep screaming this, and when we have the ear of the media…it will be Big Bear and this school district that the eyes of the world will be on…to lead. Pressure’s on. Let’s do it. Rumor has it, this has been spread around the state already…. Post comments if you support. Ad Alta

I totally agree… In my music class in school, this kid who sits next to me is ALWAYS drinking soda during class and eating candy. I have never seen him eat/drink anyhing that is no junk food.

Jordan,
You’re awesome! You inspire others to live their dreams, and to do that means being healthy in your mind, spirit, and body.
I’m 65, surfing (50 years now), mountain biking, ocean kayaking. I’m in excellent health, I changed my diet and lifestyle when I was 22. No junk, nothing processed, and I exercise, meditate.
Eleven years ago I started The Wilderness Youth Project here in Santa Barbara. We connect kids with nature, and they connect with their own inner truth. I’m taking your message to our program. We can hand out healthy snacks, and share your story of living BIG.
All the best,
James Smallwood, Board Member
Wilderness Youth Project
I wholeheartedly agree with banning ALL processed foods from schools, such as candy bars, potato chips, soda pop, pretzels, candy snacks of any kind, etc. And good for you for following your heart and for standing up for what you believe in!
I am amazed at how young you are and how much you have accomplished. Your extraordinary personality must have had extraordinary support from those you raised you. I am so glad that you are speaking out about junk food. It is not a coincidence that your accomplishments stemming from your nature go against junk food that stops anybody from recognizing what they are capable of. Congradulations!
Jordan,
I totally agree with you! I will spread the word around my school and my neighborhood!!! YOU ROCK JORDAN!!!!!!
please spread the word!!!! and make it STICK!!!
Jordan
