We’ve pushed the button.
Nuptse is a 25,000′ + peak, just off the shoulder of Everest for those not in the know. It’s rarely climbed and has a very cool beauty about it. So, we’ve seen from pictures. We’ll get to know it up front and personal soon. What this trip does, is allows us to get to know the Khumbu Ice Fall, and first two camps of Everest, before we hang a right turn and go up for Nuptse.

It’s a great and small operation, but these guys are good. ANY thoughts of coming to Nepal, look these guys up. They will take care of everything.
Acquired some new rope, base camp tent, and last minute food. At this point, we wait for the permit to process, then we have a 1.5 flight to a tiny town called Lukla. ONLY accessed by plane, and from there spend better part of a week heading to Everest Base camp.

It was nice to find out what you and K are up to in Nepal. I know the pollution is terrible there. I guess I’d have to wear a gas mask. I won’t last a day but I’d truly love the cultural aspect of it. I am enjoying your description of the trip. Keep it coming!
