The team just called in and said they are safe and sound at CBC. We can still see their GPS dot on the map, but they said they are running short on battery power and it’s been increasingly difficult to communicate with the world.
At this point, the team still has journey ahead of them. It’s about a 20hr drive by jeep back to Kathmandu. They are looking forward to their awaiting 5 star hotel, electrical power and other amenities they’ve missed over the last month.

Aha! No wonder the email wasn’t happening…
Sorry guys! Didn’t mean to hound you with emails. Write/send the pics when you can, then. Safe travels.
Relax, rejoice and think of your amazing accomplishment!!! Enjoy a hot bath…
Well done mate!!

well done. great achievement. and so inspirational to so many
So, the real question…. what are the cravings???
Are you guys going to visit with Elizabeth Hawley in Kathmandu?
I see you’ve left CBC now for the trip back. Now you’ll have it made, if the tranny stays in the Jeep! Kinda’ not the most reliable ya know! Guys, what a journey —- it’s nice we can play them over and over in our heads. And Jordan I’m sure you have an “inner” feeling that is hard to describe but one that can only be gotten on the summit of Mt. Everest! Ad Alta! STAY SAFE EVERYONE —-
Have a safe journey to Katmandu, Jordan, Karen and Paul! Enjoy and rest up!
Wow.. this is amazing. I grew up in Big Bear and still have family there. So proud of you. God Bless and may you always dwell in the love and safety of our Lord.
It’s a great relief to see you’re off the mountain. Now are you going to know what to do with all the luxuries of a room that doesn’t have walls vibrating from the wind?
Hi Everyone, Hats off to all of you. Can’t wait to see you guys back in Big Bear. Take care.
Sooooo proud to know you guys. Great job. We followed along every day.
Congrats man, I’ve been following this expedition the entire time. I hope to climb Denali, and maybe someday Everest. Although its a dream to climb all seven. And even though you are a complete stranger I’m really proud of you for beating the odds. When I first heard of your journey I thought “This kid will neved make it, he’ll get sick and have to be turned back, or he will be overwhelmed and turn back around” But Jordan Romero you proved me wrong, and I think you are amazing and I want you to enjoy this fame and the love for mountains, and although im 15 and to old to try and beat your record… I’m very jealous [x
Prove me wrong again ok? Cause I really like bragging about you at school
Don’t let the fame go to your head though ook bigdog, because Fame ruins a good climb. Just keep the feeling alive and I wish you the Absoulute best of luck on sumit number 7
Well Congrast and good luck once again.
Maybe someday i’ll see you on the mountain.
Brooke. D
We are having so much fun namedropping. Team Jordan? Jordan Romero? Yeah, we know them. They slept at our house. We are living vicariously through you guys. Can’t wait to see the pictures. Hope you’re snuggled in your beds at the hotel catching up on sleep.
Congratulations!
Fantastic Accomplishment. Impressive. Better than hockey! Canada is impressed.
Cheers,
Ted Schredd
I have a new challenge for you: be Valedictorian at Big Bear High School.
Wheels on the Bus Go Round and Round…
See ya soon!
What a fantastic time we have had following your every move. I think I might even have withdrawls. We are very in AW of all of you. So very very happy to hear you are on your way back safely. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your dream! Per Jack (6yrs old) “you are AWESOME because of what you did!” The Fisher’s
Skipping Camp 3 is AR of you. Wouldn’t expect anything less. Again, so very very very proud and pleased for you all.
Jordon, Having a fairly good idea of what is required to climb Everest, I admire less the feat than the discipline you must have to have trained for it. This isn’t to minimize the achievement, which I think is incredible and rewarding beyond measure, but to acknowledge the mental and physical work you needed to do to even climb any high peak. Keeping up the training, day after day, was probably more difficult than actually climbing mountains. Kind of taking a backseat to your success is that your Dad and Karen succeeded too. They too are accomplished an incredible feat along with you. I am a teacher and am always looking for inspirational stories of young people who excel at something. I use the stories to motivate them to try harder. Thanks for giving me a very inspirational story to use.
Hi!
your story is amazing!
in the future try to upload smaller size images, because it is very difficult to display them if their size in more than 100k. Your images are at present more than one mega.
Thanks
