Namche Bizarre- one of the last real stops on the way to Everest Base Camp. Shops/restaurants/bakery/guest houses…you name it.
This bar has the doors open, screamin Frampton, and the sound of the cue ball slamming a fresh break on the billiard table. What a place.
We did well today. Karen, strong as hell. We did a 15km trek, t shirts and shorts and small day pack. We skipped a camp or two…but it’s all good. We’ll head out tomorrow first thing, and may end up at 15,000′.

We DID learn of a team of 7 that are doing Nuptse also, they left days ahead of us. This is good, as it seems as if Karen and I were going to do all the work to string up 1000meters of fixed lines all ourselves. We’ll see. more news to come.

Oh ! That’s great great trek, wonderful, you paul and karen doing well. i didn’t imagine it just 4.5 hrs to namche from lukla. next three days easily get EBC. Next couple of weeks we will have a record.
