We are writing quickly here as the Internet is pricey. We
have arrived at the “town” of Gorek Shep the last before Base
camp. We will stay here for the night and start to take bags
to base camp tomorrow. We are feeling good. three of the
porters will return to Lukla tomorrow.
the weather is beautiful, today warm and sunny, cloudy and a
little snow tonight.
health update- k’s akle is fine.
we are both having no symptoms or problems, arrriving now at
5100./16,700.
amazing people, views. more report coming asap.
Highlight of the trip has been meeting a legend, named Chris
Bonington, a British man that FIRST climbed Nuptse in 1960, by
some insane route that is still barely repeated. Google him, it was
amazing timing.
Hugs to all.
